About Us..

Jesters Sub Aqua Club is based in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, although several members do come from further afield. We are branch 1824 of the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) , formed in 1992, and currently have 45 members. The club is here to benefit all it's members whether it is providing training to new members starting out as an Ocean Diver, to those progressing onto Sports Diver and the more experienced Dive Leader qualification and beyond.

Further SDC's (Skill Development Courses) are also available during your level of diving qualification training and experience for example; Oxygen Administration, Dive Planning & Marshalling, Nitrox Diver, Advanced Nitrox Diver and Extended Range Diver. Jesters also has a snorkel club, great for the family with youngsters. Everyone gets the benefit of receiving training they require from dedicated Instructors within the club.

We obviously like to dive and have regular trips to Anglesey (it's the nearest location to our club) and charters to; St Abbs in Eyemouth, Plymouth, Scapa Flow and to warmer waters abroad like the Red Sea, even as far as Bikini Atoll. We encourage members to organise trips so we are happy to go anywhere.

Diving is not all we do, there is also a full social calendar and we do have just social membership available for those who just want to enjoy an active social life within the club. Jesters is a very friendly club with a active social and diving calendar, with events on every week. Training is provided on a Wednesday night alternatively on wet nights (pool work) at Chester University's pool and dry nights (theory) at the Castrol Social Club in Ellesmere Port. Those not participating on a course can  attend on these dates to brush up on their skills and to socialise.

As a BSAC branch we strive to provide the best and safest training possible, and actively promote safe diving practices, so that all our members can enjoy diving in this country and abroad. How friendly are we? Judge for yourselves as one of our open water instructors gives one of the novices the personal touch!

If you have always wanted to scuba dive but not sure if its for you, then why not come along to one of our Try-Dive sessions.

Only £15 for the training, kit hire and air re-fills, and join us for the social pint and curry afterwards.

For further information email Trudi  to arrange a date, and enter a different world!
