BSAC Membership Fees

NOTE: All BSAC individual members pay an annual fee of £45.50. This includes a FREE BSAC “DIVE” magazine every month, discount purchases from the Members Mail shop and other benefits as detailed on this link. Other BSAC fees for family members, snorkel members etc are on this link.

Jesters  Membership Fees

Our fees vary according to dive qualification and type of membership as shown below). As a new member on the Ocean Diver course the fee is £105.

So why do we charge a fee?

Well unlike PADI and some other BSAC branches our club training is provided FREE until you qualify at whatever dive grade, so you could go straight from Ocean Diver to Sports Diver to Dive Leader and there is no fee for the training you receive. Membership also includes the use of Chester University Pool every alternative Wednesday between 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, and the use of the Castrol Social Club we attend on dry night Wednesday's,  but you do have access to this club at any time. Costs also go towards new equipment and  servicing costs, the storage of our equipment and towards the general day to day running of the club.

All diving grade packages have to be purchased that include your written materials and log book. The prices for these can be found at BSAC although the club will arrange this purchase for you before you start your diving course. For any Further queries regarding membership please contact Trudi
